Singer, musician and actor Jim Byrnes has loved and played blues music since he was in his teens. Born in St. Louis, Missouri – that’s blues country, he grew up city’s north side going to music clubs. Over the years, he has had the great good fortune to appear with a virtual who’s who of the blues - from Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker to Taj Mahal and Robert Cray.
Jim moved to Vancouver in the early 1970s, and soon became a key part of the local blues scene, and has remained so ever since. A multi-award winning artist, Mr. Byrnes plays 150 dates a year, bringing his music to stages all over the world.
